6. Mobile App (iOS and Android)

The SC DataHub mobile app is a read-only reference tool and works differently from the website and desktop application described above. Specifically:

  • No account is required and none can be created. The app has no sign-in.
  • No personal data is collected. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not read device identifiers, contacts, location, or photos.
  • Your preferences stay on your device. The app stores a small number of settings (such as your selected star system and mining loadout) locally. They are never transmitted and are removed when you uninstall.
  • Network requests fetch public game data only. The app downloads the same reference data (ships, missions, commodity prices) that powers this website, from sc-datahub.com and our hosting provider. These requests carry no user identifier. Standard connection logs may record your IP address, as with any website.
  • Links in the app (to this website, or to any sponsor or referral card shown on the home screen) open in your device’s browser and are governed by the destination site’s own policy.

7. Your Rights (UK / GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Object to processing of your data

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service. When you delete your account, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our retention schedule.
